The Australian student visa sub-class 500 or Student (Temporary) (Class TU) (Subclass 500) is a type of visa that allows students to work in Australia while pursuing an education temporarily. This visa will allow students to stay, study and work for a maximum period of 5 years but not exceeding the length of years of the entire course.
Who are eligible for student visa subclass 500?
- Students 6 years and older.
- Students who are17 years old and younger when they enter year 9.
- Students who are18 years old and younger when they enter year 10.
- Students who are 19 years old and younger when they enter year 11.
- Students who are 20 years old and younger when they enter year 12.
- If the student is 18 years old and below, they must present sufficient welfare arrangements.
